Default Warman's Animation Submod Version 3 Released for FROGS, MOS and Vanilla 2.1 Baron's submod is next!

    Made by Grimbold.

These animations were not made by me. I had found these in the game's files and added them so you could see them

Greetings one and everyone. It is time to release version 3 of my TATW submod.

Here is a list of features:
Adds a new combo kill to any soldier with a one handed sword.
Adds an exclusive combo kill to any soldier with a mace, one handed axe or uruk-hai sword
Adds two new combo kills to any soldier with a two handed sword
Moved the combo kill when the guy gets hit on the ground twice to a two handed axe or halberd exclusive

    VERSION 2 UPDATES

Adds a faster galloping animation for certain mounted troops
Adds two new generic deaths for both infantry and cavalry(Replaces the current two)

    VERSION 3 UPDATES

    1. Minor animation tweaks so they are more in sync with each other, mainly the new ones

    2. Adjusted the frequency of certain new animations so they show up more.

    3. New generic deaths for the dwarves, hobbits, goblins and other special sized troops

    4. Major 1-hand weapon animation changes combining animations from Studia Marka(NOT THE HORSES!) and current animations, expect different attacks and new locomotion slighty.

    5. Major animation differences between good and evil units

Great job on this. Is there a chance you could upload to filefront though? I'm hesitant to download from sites that I've never heard of.

wow they look great especially the first one, it would be amazing if more custom animations were made for units/factions. you should show this to KK. Great job

I have FROME and it works well so far.
The reason this is compatible with almost every mod is that it only adds additional text to the pool of finishing moves each skeleton model has.

    Well done Warman!

Just so everybody knows, KK knows about this submod and will add it to 2.2. Here is an offical statement about this.

thanks a lot for the news! And of course, I would really love to include all those animations, most are even better than those from vanilla M2.
One last thing, I did not make the new animations. these new animations were in the games files, but were never added to the game, just saying that to clear any confusion.

Very nice work, but I think you need to recompile the animation files (.dat/.idx) and post them? Just changing the descr_skeleton is not enough...

    Great work!

As stated above you need to repack the animations. This needs to be done whenever a change is made to descr_skeleton. Just ask King Kong for the unpacked animations and I will tell you how to do it when you are ready if you want.

I already had KK give them to me, that is how I got these to work. Should I include an unpacked animations folder with the download? I also forgot to post install instructions..... oops

Yes mate you need to remove your original data/animations/.dat and .idx files, and let the game rebuild them, and post those files here.

Lord Derfel: here are RR/RC 1.4.1 files (won't work for 2.1!) containing Warman's great work, extract to TATW/data folder

    http://www.filefront.com/17547500/data.7z

Recommend you backup the data/animations/.dat and .idx files and data/descr_skeleton.txt before installation.
