    Icon5 Artillery Damage

I've been having a go with the DBEditor 1.8 and altering aspects of Darth and Team's Great mod Darth Mod, DMUC 6.2, to my idea of what i'd like it to be. Personal choice here, in no way am i having a dig . I'm a total amateur at modding and I've worked out some stuff, doing trial and error and allot of forum searching, but i've now got a problem i cant solve:-

For some reason all my artillery is doing insane amounts of damage which is wierd as ive not touched anything to do with them ( or i think not ) all cannons are doing 300+ damage except for the small 3lbs and rockets which are on 70+. Now i went onto the Projectiles tables to check and the damge values are their original levels 27,42 etc and when im on the campaign map all the unit cards for the artillery say the same thing 27,42 etc its only when i go onto the battle map that the firepower goes through the roof. Anyone able to tell me whats going on? Is there something in the KV_Rules table that might cause this?

Also percussion shells even b4 the above problem occured were doing insane damage, direct hit could kill 40-50 guys any help on what values/colums i have to change to reduce this and in which table? im guessing projectiles_explosions but im having no luck with what i've tried so far.

As always guys any help is greatly appreciated.

    Look here:

And yes, kv_rules lines are important to this issue to.

    First of all check: projectiles_tables.

Next important db table: projectiles_explosion ( only for exploding ammo ).

Hey thanks for the response. I'd had a look at your thread before i posted and while its helpful it doesnt help me with this problem.

In the projectiles_tables everything seems to be as it should be. All artillery damage is at there proper values, 42,27 etc. not 320, 309, 72( 72 damage is for the small guns like 3lbs, rockets etc.) Its only when on the battlemap that the firepower goes so high.

as for projectiles_explosion this to is all normal, i chaged some values for 24lbs howitzer percussion shells but it made no difference so changed them back to what they were.

You say KV rules is important, but which values would affect the artillerys damage so much?

I don't know much about this table, but i will try to help you:

---> artillery projectile calibration target area = too small value and the cannons would behave like snipers and would shoot almost horizontal

---> land mortar projectile calibration target area = too small value and the land mortar would behave as an intelligent modern guided rocket and would kill with terrible precision

---> damage multiplier = to high value and the projectile would deliver as big damage as on the couple of meters

---> distance to half chance hit artillery = to high value and the projectile will kill with deadly accuracy even on max distance

Note: Keep in mind, that those lines from kv_rules_table - have a little different titles.

    I hope this would help!
