MTW: Having trouble installing on Windows 7?

Hi, I'm not really that great with computers.

I've got a copy of Medieval Total War, without the expansion pack, and it's not installing. Like I tried selecting "Install MTW" from the launcher, but it didn't open the installation, and then I tried opening the disc in explorer and opening the setup file from there. Still didn't work. I tried setting compability and running as administrator, still doesn't open. Doesn't even show up in the task manager.

Any idea what's going on? My computer SHOULD be able to run this game, it's not a very old computer (Million Dollars, good computer, you know).

Are your discs OK? I just installed MTW on my Windows 7 computer with no trouble. I had to do the Nvidia fix to get it to run, but it installed fine.

My system: Hewlet-Packard, Windows 7 Ultimate x64, 6 GB Ram, 640 GB Hard-drive, Pentium Duo 2.6 Ghz.

There was a button on campaign interface which doesn't display right with Nvidia graphics cards, causing the game to crash every time I tried loading a campaign. This fixed the issue: http://shoguntotalwar.yuku.com/topic/34542
