    Default Decisive battles

    I wish in Rome there was a way for the AI to have less armies. Or for battles to be decisive. I feel as if I win a battle it's pointless, the AI will just spam another one. Even if I LOSE a battle it doesn't matter, I can just recruit another one quickly. I wish there was some way to make battles count for more. Any mods or scripting suggestions?

    Try XC, it is harder for the ai to spam armies because the economy is "harder" to control(less money and when you are downloading it you can have the choice of further reducing ai bonus's).

    Europa Barbarorum (EB) also has very descisive battles, as armies are hard to raise and maintain. (http://www.twcenter.net/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=31).

    If you are a fan of vanilla and do not want to have the slow down of your computer due to EB's background scrips, I would suggest this excellent provinicial campaign made by IceTorque. It features two turn recruitment which limits your and the AI's ability to create armies, so makes the battles fought more critical. (http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=55389).

    What about units that allready take 2 turns to make? Do they stay the same or do they add +1 turn or even double it?

    I believe they double, but I have not played the provincial campaign in a while.

    Thanks, I just dislike fighting so many battles, it gets boring. I would like it more so that if I destroy a huge army, the AI are in serious trouble (depending on faction size) or If I lose an army, I have to scramble to defend.
