    Default Factions to be added

What factions do you want added to SS, and why?
    Please select 3 factions max.

For MSC, I'm planning to add Sweden and Georgia.
Sweden: attained some power over the years, and would add a lot of conflict to the Baltic region.
Georgia: had some power, and would help add conflict in the east.

There are quite a few regions in Scandinavia and the Baltic, though, so it should work fine. From what I've heard it works fine in BftB2.

Yes, but it takes little time to work, so i think sweden might get conquered quite fast, as they should have WAY less power than denmark and norway+this is sweden at game start

    um different maps.

I vote for Georgia and Serbia. I would love Sweden but not enough room. Well that might help keep Norway and Denmark from becoming too big but I doubt it.

Sweden ftw, would make campaigns in the scandinavian lands so much more interresting. Georgia wouldnt be a bad choice either.

I think its boring in scandinavia in the beginning when playing as denmark/norway so a sweden would make it more interesting.

And I am a fan of georgia too simply because I love to play eastern christian kingdoms and the only one we have at the moment is the byzantines.

@makrill Because of the civil wars, yes. A sweden that can mobilize to its full strength should be dangerous for both norway and denmark.

The map is due to norwegian conquest and denmark owning skåne. Sweden was nevewr that strong in medieval times

Because it was un-stabilized. And Scania was 100% danish, there was swedish claims but at that time only danes lived there. We are talking about a what if situation here and thats what total war series is about.

If sweden did have a strong king that could mobilize sweden to its full power it would be a threat to denmark and norway. Also, sweden did fought against novgorod and was always one of novgorods biggest threats.

Yes, it is. but this is about keeping good accuracy nevertheless. I thiink it would be cool to have an iceland faction and conquer the world and if it was added i would absolutely play it, likewise with sweden. But i dont think it should be main priority

From gameplay perspective most needed faction right now is Georgia, 'cause there are some serious balance issues in eastern part of the map.

Another "must-have" - any type of new Balkan faction, either Serbia or Bulgaria. No essential difference really.

If there'll be third faction slot available it would be really nice to have Abassid Caliphate.

Baltics and Italy definitely are overcrowded already.

While i cant vote due to lack of posts,i d like to see:

1)Abbasids,who despite their decline during the 10th-11th centuries had a revival of their strength from the middle of the 11th century till the sacking of Baghdad from the Mongols, and even more important they could balance things more than Georgia in the east, since,at least in my games, the Fatimids always become a super power that devours KoJ,Seljuks and pressures the Romans and Persians extensively;it sucks to see every time the entire Middle East and large portions of Asia Minor and Iran occupied by them.

2)Bulgaria or Serbia in Early and Late periods respectively,or just one of them if its too much,to add more flavor and tension in the Balcans instead of Roman Empire steamrolling over all of them with ease;the rebellion script is cool, but it doesnt come close in portraying the pain that was to the Empire to hold their balcan provinces in check;plus Bulgaria and Serbia were at times quite strong and threatening to their neighbours

    3)Burgundy!

Sweden and Georgia sound sexy. And the Abbasid caliphate

The Abassid Caliphate is a must (early campaign) and Georgia maybe.

History: Under the rule of Buyids the Abbasid caliphate remained a purely formal institution. There are times in the 10th century when the caliphs have little power outside the confines of Baghdad itself, but from the 11th century their prestige is to some degree restored. This is thanks to the Seljuk Turks, who recover a large empire and rule it from Baghdad - accepting the subordinate title of sultan and deferring to the caliphs as the superior religious authority. If there was one city who could rival Constantinople, in the 11th century, it was Baghdad!
Gameplay: The middle east region was intensely populated and rich. Adding the Abbasids to the game (maybe as Seljuk Protectorate) would reflect its importance and would help filling the void between the Kwarezmians, Seljuks and Fatimids.

Georgia would be interesting as the player could rule a Christian faction in the Middle-East.

    Europe is already too crowded.

We need more Eastern factions, so I'm all for Gerogia. Also Serbia or Bulgaria would be amazing. I'd personally go for Bulgaria as they were far more influential and they would certainly prove a problem for the Eastern Romans and Hungarians. The Turks too will have a much harder time trying to establish themselves in the Balkans if Bulgaria or Serbia are present.

Also, in my ideal world an Albanian state to be formed around the mid 1400's, led by Skenderbeu or Gjergj Arianiti. A man can but only dream I guess

    *EDIT*

Also, can I add; Bohemia would certainly be a more historical solution for the HRE. I mean, as we all know, it wasn't as united as portrayed in SS 6.3, although it seems all the generals seem to have exceptionally low loyalty traits. I think one or two German states would spice things up a whole lot. A Czhech state like Bohemia, in my opinion would be amazing.

Georgia and Serbia. But if Bulgaria beats Serbia, it's fine too.

Abbasid Caliphate ... Because there my favorite faction from BC{Broken Crescent}*. Their location would place them right in the middle of the action and perhaps blunt the K-Shah whirlwind. Those Caliph's Guard are the bees knees...

    * Did I mention BC? Off to the Gallows with me....

LOL Mega, you aren't buying into the whole "worship of Kong" stuff, are you?

And yes, Georgia or Abbasids would be good. Middle east needs more diversity and change.

No, but funny you mention it. I was planning to buy it with my next paycheck.

Back on topic though, a few minor and independent Germany city states could really liven up the campaign.
