    Default Progress?

    I hate to sound like a nagging fanboy, but what it this mod's status?
    the posting has REALLY slowed down in this subforum, and it makes me wonder if the mod is on track.

    i know that there are some problems that the 1.6 patch didnt fix, and I know that the release date got moved back.

    i just wanted to check in

    I've read somewhere that after 1.3, it's impossible to add buildings into the campaign map, and this has dealt quite a blow to the modders..

    well I managed to fix that, now I still have to fix two other problems and then I can finally make real progress again...

    Are all the problems related to the campaign map?
    Can't you just bring out the multiplayer part of the game?

    I never play the campaign anyway, I don't like the stupid AI. It's more fun crushing your friends in battle! But I can understand that you guys won't release a multiplayer only version (without the campaign or with an broken campaign), because most people only play the single player campaign.

    We have been following this mod for months, hope it gets released soon!

    What are the two problems, maybe someone else has addressed them on another forum already.

    I've been delaying this campaignmap release for too long. Also, with a SP campaign there will be more people trying the mod, which means more people will be available in MP. Last custom battles release didn't really become that popular because it lacked a SP part.

    -my new battlemap models (buildings) won't work anymore
    -the crusader states faction causes a CTD during the campmap loading screen if I turn them into a horde faction

    I have been following your mod progress with interest... keep up the good work (SP mainly), i'm also eagerly waiting for CTW :-)

    I'm away from my gaming computer until the middle of January; but now one of the two RTW mods I've been patiently waiting for (EB) is in open beta and I'm a bit antsy. I just hope the CTW team can get past the hurdles and do some kind of release soon. I know it's a lot of work; and I know it's a bit stressful to do these things for no gain other than having people adore you forever ; but this mod is on the top of many people's list (and with very good reason) and some tend to get too eager and impatient.

    I'm patient and willing to wait for however long it will take to get things done right (well... before the end of this decade anyway). Keep up the good work CTW team.

    Can you use on of the already horde factions, like the vandals, to make the crusader states?

    we aren't using the BI interenal faction names, but the RTW ones. So changing a faction name to "vandals" would mean editing a zillion files... And I doubt it'd help

    Are they using a slot of an originally hording faction? (scraping thr barrel here).

    no, they use RTW faction names, so there are no "original hording factions"

    It sounds like your modding the RTW campaign not BI's. Im not a very capable modder (text files only) so I could be wrong but wouldn't things be easier if you use BI?

    No, we're just using RTW faction names. Like Adherbal's said a couple of times, we'd have to edit tons of files to change these names and we're fine with how they currently are.
