Seleucid Cataphracts Armour

Though looking excellent from the artistic point of view, I'd like to know the sources for this armour, especially why you depict chainmail and disregard the Athena Nikephoros sanctury relief at Pergamon.
I know EB has a marvelous reputation concerning the use of sources, that is why I ask.

Well, some of the Seleukid armor was found in Syria during an archaeological expedition that Urnamma was a part of, personally. I don't know that all of it was, but some of it he is actually going to publish. Hopefully he'll actually begin taking an active part in these sorts of discussions again at some point in the future.

Actually, the syrian stuff is already published, and in the museum in damascus. Catas did not use merely one type of armor, there was no standardization. Look at the baktrian cataphracts, and you might see some influence there
