Flight of the Dragon Princes - A tale of Caledorian conquest!

Chapter I: Uprisings and Putting Downs

Caledor, mountainous land of volcanoes, rapturous land of cooling ash, and noble kingdom of slumbering dragons. For centuries the Dragon Princes had ridden aloft the field of battle, carried on the backs of their wise and powerful mounts, devastating armies in their wake and spreading fear throughout the ranks of their enemies. It had been a golden age in Caledor, when the Dragontamer himself had first befriended and ridden on the back and soared with the wings of a dragon over sparkling Ulthuan, the jewel of knowledge and strength on the face of the planet that the Old Ones had created.

Yet, as with all good things, it was to come to a most heinous and abrupt end.

For years a darkness has seeped through the culture and society of Ulthuan, cults dedicated to the Cytharai – the dark Gods of the Asurian underworld, shunned by all straight-thinking elves but worshipped by those that have fallen into decadence and the foolish lust for the shedding of blood. Not only this, but it appears that Atharti, goddess of pleasure and sensual indulgence, has risen to become the figurehead of the black pantheon which now corrupts the very bedrock of High Elf civilisation and seeks to tumble all that is good into a swirling vortex of eternal darkness and damnation.

It is thanks to Morathi, mother of Prince Malekith of Nagarythe, that this evil has arrived and the cults now rise like so many strands of seaweed or grains of sand from the ocean floor. In the east the coastal lands of Eataine are threatened, the bloodthirsty worshippers of Khaine leading the insurrection and sweeping in vast numbers along the coast and toward the greatest coastal realm in all the lands. To the north of Caledor the ancient territory of Tiranoc is equally threatened, Nagarythe bordering the home of the greatest elven charioteers.

Prince Imrik, the most powerful and majestic of the Caledorian Dragon Princes, a statesman and warrior in equal measure who is known and loved by many, hated by so very few, must now take up the mantle of leader of his people and align himself with others against this pernicious cult and its promise of power to those with enough strength to take it.

With the servants of the pleasure cults threatening the very way of life on Ulthuan and Morathi imprisoned, what more could possibly go wrong?

[Just a very brief intro, since I've only just began my campaign. Expect more once I'm a few turns in. ]
