Gun Control - this is just funny

The gun banners hate effective weapons because armed people are less afraid of their own government and less dependent on it. It is no surprise that totalitarian governments world-wide keep most of their populations disarmed. They know from history that even a handful of armed people can stand in the way of genocide and check its advance. It does, however, take well-armed and well-trained people to stop evil in its tracks. Although most civilians' training level is sufficient only for a last-ditch stand, that stand is much better done with a rifle than with a shovel. I would guess that those relatives of mine who got turned into lampshades during WW2 did wish for a way to fight back, if too late.

That made me laugh....Countries ban guns because they are totalitarian states and afraid of the citizenship? riiiiight....keep dreaming sweetheart.

Haha, oh my god that is funny. I'm against banning guns but this is just rediculous. I especialy like all those pics with the slogans.

Ability to defeat body armor is one of the useful characteristics of rifles. Just as the crossbow and the longbow challenged the dominance of the armored knight, the rifle reduces the ability of an armored enforcer to operate with impunity against civilians.

BWahaha. Calling for resistance against the police? This is just propaganda to topple the government! Anarchism all the way :laughing:

Yes let's ban guns so the people who have them illegally can run around with theirs. I think they have a fetish with women and guns. Nearly every picture has a women with a gun.

Because automatic guns are just damn cool.

Anyway. The government always does this, even at the basic level of a school, they teach kids to not fight back, to just let bullies bully them, and just "tell the teacher" and all that BS.
Because the govvies still remember what happened last time the people stood up against bullies, in 1861.

EDIT: One of my friends has a rifle from every major country that participated in WW2, except for Hungary and Czechoslovakia. I like the SMLE myself.

Lol the last pic accutally hurts there cause. First off there comparing themselves to spartans...hmmm.... Secondly they say they are law abiding citizens etc but are SO ESCENTRIC that if you try to take there ''precious'' guns there gonna blow your head off....yess...

They also fogot those 300 Spartians were all killed by the Persians.

But yeah, it just proves a small professional army (Spartians) can inflict huge casualties on a large civilian army (Persians).

PS: I think the purpose of the thread was to make fun of the pro-gun lobby, not to have sensible debates about gun ownership.

Anyway pro-gun lobby is crazy. The society which needs private arms to protect its own citizens is not going in the right direction.

I've got a hunting rifle (Ruger M77 MkII) to hunt some rabbits in the countryside but I'm never thinking about defending my home with my rifle, and the police here strictly forbids me to do so. But most importantly, we don't need to do so!

Banning guns is crazy. I don't agree with the M-16 and CAR-15 that are for sale in the local gun shop but pistols, shotguns and rifles shouldn't be banned. The fact is people who own guns legally don't commit crimes with the guns they own. This beign said those that own guns illegally do commit crimes with guns. So why take the guns out of the hands of the law abiding citizen? Now all I have to do is wait for winter to break so I can fire the Desert Eagle that a good friend owns. Should be fun :laughing:

government and practically the rest of the western world bans guns is more becuase of things like this. Whether things like that are a good reason for banning guns is another matter.

The argument in itself is null. Having a citizenry unarmed is not because the governm,ent is tyranical, but because it fears for the saftey of other citizens. HAving, as the website author said, 80milion armed americans may make them feel pretty secure, but what would the death rate be like?

Nobody kills anyone in the city I live in and the urban area near me about 99% of the gun related crimes involve illegally obtained guns anyway. How would gun control stop this? It wouldn't.

I live in a place with more guns than people and the only time someone is shot is when an outsider comes in. When people live, around legal and not misused, arms there entire life they are less likely to commit murder or the like with a weapon.

People who wish you defenseless often claim that effective defensive rifles and shotguns have "no legitimate sporting use". Would they consider defense of your family from an attack to be un-sporting? Remind to them that the concept of a "sporting use" comes from their spiritiual forebears, the Nazis.
