How do you stop playing?

Hi, I enjoy playing this game so much, I find it very hard to stop. You know, you start playing and the next thing you notice is the dawn chorus of birds singing.... So now I'm afraid to continue playing, and I haven't touched it for three months!!! I tried putting an alarm clock next to my computer and setting the alarm every time I boot up - that helped to begin with. Now I just stop the alarm when it goes off and continue playing! I was wondering what strategies other players adopt to stop the game when they need to -(instead of two hours later) even if they are in the middle of a battle (really hard to stop then as you can't save the game)

I usually get ticked off or I get bored....But sometimes when I find myself playing for extended amount, I force myself to stop.

That's a hard one, when you are in the middle of a campaign it can be really addictive. And since there isn't a checkpoint or cutscene it's hard to stop.

You can try and set up some kind of limit, like only play ten turns at a time or something.

Hmmm, I don't know of it helps, but you can always uninstall Tatw if you can't stop.

No, I don't want to uninstall it - I want to play it, and get lost in it, but still be able to stop when necessary. Maybe there's a windows ap that will run in the background, give you a ten minute warning, then shutdown the game at a time of your choosing. It might help if there was a digital clock in the top right-hand corner of the screen.

I find a series of rapid crashes usually lead to a stoppage in play as well as uncontrollable rage and the destruction of property blocks wide.

Whilst playing late you just have to remember how bad you felt the next day when you couldn't function. A few days of that and you realise it's not worth it - well sometimes it is

Now if a new version of Third Age is released you won`t be able to play it until RC/RR is updated.

CTD's and the steamroller of enemy factions long ago made me loose the will to play. Awaiting some of the anticipated expanded sub-mods and their full compliment of factions. A slower turtle DLV-like game rather than the lightning war of currently appeals.
