Ok...guys...here we go....![]()
All Rome players know the frustration when it comes to the question where the numbered Legions can be recruited or retrained.
While doin this submod I was going through the Legion Recruitment and found that the way this is reflected in RSII is a bit chaotic. While historically correct it is a nightmare gameplaywise because there are areas where the player can recruit or retrain up to 7 different numbered Legions while in a neighbouring Province its down to 1 .
If the player has not constantly a map at hand he is permanently lost and opening settlement details to see what and where he can recruit or retrain instead of playing the game.
While I wish I would have the perfect solution at least I can make the Rome Players life a bit easier with this new submod.
I completely edited the Settlement UIs so they show the numbers of the Legions which can be recruited in the City.
So this is seen on the campaign map next to the settlement name regardless who owns the settlement.
I only wish I could make a difference between Hamata and Segmentata but thats not possible, sorry.
As well things are a bit messy when it comes to the areas with lots of Legions to recruit. The settlement UI gets a bit crowded in that case
I add some screens so you can see what this is about
but after all when playing Rome I think this is better than walking around constanly speculating.
Notes: The Legions IIII or XIIII are reflected as IV and XIV.
If the UI shows two numbers of the same kind like IV, IV then its
because you can recruit both Legions IV in this settlement, the
Hamata and the Segmentata one.
