    Green Lantern trailer

    http://trailers.apple.com/trailers/wb/greenlantern/

It LOOKS amazing, and it seems they are going to go heavily on the galactic police approach rather then try and keep Hal as Earth based hero. Part of my worries was the whole Green Lantern CORP would be ignored and we'd simply get a green version of batman/ironman. So while that isnt a concern anymore I gotta say bit of more comical parts of the trailer just seem bleh. Sorry but I cant see Hal going "whoa...I know right".

From the trailer Hector Hammond appears to be the villian here though we DO see Sinestro it wont be til 2nd film that Sinestro becomes the villain. And for those concerned John Steward is going to be in the movie too but I imagine he'll be limited to his military career since it would be confusing to non comic fans to see 2 earth bound GLs.

I'm not all that terribly familiar with Green Lantern, the only DC character that really interests me is Batman.
Still, the trailer looks far from shabby.
Some day I'll actually write all the reviews I keep promising...

Not a big fan of the green lantern and the trailer didn't make me want to see it. I got a feeling that this movie will be a dud.

frankly the main actor is a perfect fit for deadpool, but I just don't see him as other superheros.

And he still maintains he is pegged for Deadpool when movie production begins but I dont see how he can fit it in considering GL 2 has already been green lighted (pun!).

Same though I like the Corps specifically and not just Hal Jordan.

This looks like utter garbage. I'm glad movie studios pick jackasses to play all of their characters.

I liked it except for the female fighter pilot, that might have been the worst acting I've ever seen in a major movie.

That trailer did not peak my interest at all. Though I've never been a green lantern fan to be begin with, so that might have something to do with it.

Yeah, that part was especially grating

Don't think that's it. The acting was poor, the voice-over was lame, the CG was unfinished and the trailer was extremely badly cut. I think they rushed the trailer so it could go with the new Harry Potter.

I always thought green lantern to be one of the most ridiculous superhero ever. I mean, a ring that will turn into anything you want is just ridiculous.

Well its not a "real" thing its basically light and for green lanterns its based on the sheer will of the wearer on what they can and cannot do.

If they mess up the context of when the Green Lantern oath is supposed to be said, or don't take it seriously, i'm going to be pissed.

    This is how it's done.

    How is it ridiculous?

The Green Lantern ring is probably one of the most powerful weapons in all of the Superhero universes. It's only weakness if the fear of those who wield it.
