    Default Shutting Off Autosave

I've read more than a few people suggest that with mods that the Autosave feature may cause as many problems as it prevents.

Is there a way to disable it?

The only file I was able to find with an Autosave setting was one of the .cfg files in the main DLV directory and changing the Autosave value from 1 to 0 didn't appear to do anything (or does the change only impact new and not existing campaigns?).

    Any help would be great.

    Thanks

there is another cfg file that is in the main M2TW folder that needs to be changed in order to stop the autosave IIRC. I have not had any issues with the auto save.

do you know the name of the .cfg file as I can't find anything with an "autosave" command line in it?

this applies to the steam install , not sure if it works for you.

From some of the replies below that, deleting the autosave feature in the preferences cfg will stop all autosave function so it is not the best thing to do unless you always manually save.

If you are not having ctd's maybe dont worry about it?

I found your post re: autosave possibly causing your crashes. I guess you do need to try it.
