    Default Egypt Mod

I've been thinking and researching into this for awhile now and think its worth a try. Making a mod based around ancient Egypt but doing it as two campains one being before the rise of Persia and the second one being after based around the ATW. Only problem is I'll need someone to model and re-skin troops for me otherwise I should be ok for doing the rest myself anyone willing to do me some models?

think creating a submod for Rise of Persia, there is a big hell of job to do if you create entirely new one.

I agree. Moreover, if you obtain the permission to create such submod, you could use their models, that is a fair step ahead!

My thought exactly I see people doing Greece/Persia but what about the Egyptians

I can agree with that. I think its because Egypt is not known for its military capabilities. Egypt at the time of Rameses II and Thutmose III were the greatest fighting machine in the Mediterranean, light chariots, the composite bow, disciplined and very organised infantry, the lot!

Regarding their enemies at the time of the New Kingdom, the Hittites were the first to use Iron weapons, had heavy chariots, and very capable infantry and leaders. Assyria was developing away, and Mesopotamia (i.e. Babylon and other city-states) were constantly at war with each other and the tribes to the north.

In Arabia, the Marib Dam was believed to have been first built around the time the Pyramids were built, so Sabaean Kingdom was also around at the time, probably at war with the Himyarites.

Of course, there is also the Greeks, and the Trojans in the western coast of Anatolia.

It is a very interesting period that has not been covered by any mod (other than the Bronze Age mod that has yet to be fully completed). We need more Bronze age mods!

what kind of scripting and mapping experience you had, in what TW plattform? or outside TW?
    1) scripting is the most tedious, repeating works of mere textual things, and the most prone to generate errors...
    2) mapping is a hell of delicate tasks who you can easily ruin it with even a dot of error in campaign map... or forgot to add proper textwork that accompany the map.

that's what I know about them.
