Polish Legion or Swiss Foot?

Pretty much as the title says, which do you normally prefer to bring: Swiss Foot or Polish Legions ?Swiss Foot are cheaper and have slightly better reload,while polish have less reload but 1 extra moral point.

I'm kinda on the fence;I just don't know which one is better,which is why I posted this in the first place.So,what're your opinions?Discuss.

I find the Polish tend to do better overall than the Swiss. But I do take the Swiss also..they both are superior to the Regiments of the Line(Fusiliers)..and it's only a 40-80 monetary difference, so i usually balance between the two..although the Swiss seem to rout for me alot faster than the Polish.

that extra reload on the Swiss is not going to help you when they are not there.

The discussion of what Elites to use with France instead of normal line infantry proves their OP status once more.
I don't play France myself, and if so, I'd be bringing normal line inf; but judging from all the vids I watch and this poll, I'm about the only one.

sorry i consider elites to be the ones with the inspire bonus. missunderstanding nothing more.

Well the definition of elites has always been a bit dodgy... and I must admit, looking at the stats of SF and PL right now, I did overestimate them.
TBH, judging from the stats, I wouldn't know what would justify the price increase of 50 for Polish Legion. Higher melee and morale? Melee is somewhat rare and hard to predict where it'll break out, and I think a chevron is cheaper than 50 which gives the morale boost too.

Neither of these are regulars.

EDIT: to put it another way: why aren't the Fusiliers in the poll?

i dont really regard fusiliers as an option,unless im struggling for funds, which is rare. swiss foot only cost 10 more, polish only cost 60 more.this cost is recouped by the fact that chasseurs and volts aren't terribly expensive.

chevrons on most line based units is around 80-90 and i always take polish over brave, swiss and fusilers simply because they have really cool hats

I like swiss line uniforms

The Swiss have the cooler uniform color, the Polish win in the hat catergory. i once had a guy say I hacked the game when he saw that I had red coated troops.
My definition of Elite
Anything that Costs more than 900 money.

I think it does. Not too sure..also, the Swiss have the regular shako hat. So the Polish win for being unique..but the best hat is probably the old guards..a topic for another day.

cheveron for any unit is calulated at unit price + 200 /10

therfore unit price for swiss is 720 + 200/10 = 92

SECOND cheveron is (unit price + 200/10) +5 = 97

THIRD cheveron is same + 10 and so forth so forth

I voted swiss. Most good players will keep their line's morale high trough a general or inspiring units anyway.

On a side note, am I the only one who hates French armies being comprised of 80% foreign units? Well make that 80% Swiss and Poles. Kind of reminds me of Dutch armies with lots of Swiss line in late ETW.
In my opinion CA should limit both units even more just for the sake of historical accuracy.

For me it's always Polish Legion first. They last longer simple as that really. I often end up taking Swiss Foot at well as they are slightly superior to regular French line to little extra cost. It seems like almost no one uses French Line Infantry these days which is a shame from a historical point of view. I don't play as France very often as their big strength is Cavalry and I'm not such a good cav commander.

I may be getting the costs wrong again, but 4 PLs cost 200 more, for that money you can (almost?) get a better general who will buff all your troops.
