A General's Education
I have a new fresh general tagging along with a Knight Commander General as field training. Now in the manual, it says that the fresh general must end his turn right next to the experienced general inorder to complete his training (10y/5t). Now the issue come when they need RR back in a city to refuel their sanity and logistics. So, if I put my experienced general outside, and a fresh general inside a city, will the field training still go on?

Yes, I believe you can keep your "teacher" general in the city/castle throughout, only need to keep the student outside.

I know, but I was thinking about the kid. The field training takes 5 years (10 turns), and some day that fresh general (student) will have to rest in a city so he doesn't loose the sanity of his troops. If he doesn't rest, then he will gain bad-logistic traits which nullify my reason to even do field training.

The years don't have to be consecutive. The "student" will acquire some field training (and some positive qualities) even if he hasn't spent the full 10 years out. After a one turn rest you can take him out again.
