    Default Sub mod

I am making a sub mod for Sparta and I want to create some units.
Tell me if I'm wrong but RS2 has used up all its unit slots.
My question is how can I go about 'merging' the many custom legions into one unit, for the AI in spartan campain only?

You would need to remove the buildings required to recruit named legions, if I remember correctly you lose the ability to train generic legions once you build them

You would also have to change the background_script, because in all non-Roman campaigns the Legions are recruited by script. I knew this kind of thing was going to be a nightmare for people who wanted to add\remove units and alter things. The only thing I can say is that this is not for the 'faint hearted' when it comes to RS2. So many of the units in this mod are integrated into other files....even I had to insist, at some point, that people on the team STOP changing or altering units because of all the files involved just to change one. When you have 20 modfoldered campaigns, one change becomes quite a task.

Now, you 'could' remove all the named and numbered Legions and just use the generic 'Roman Legionary', but, you would have to add that unit, as it is only present in the Roman and 1-turn campaigns.
The units (Legions) would then have to be taken from EDU.txt, EDB.txt, and the script. Also, the Romans do not use the 'roman_hostilia' building tree in any non-Roman campaign.

I would rather delete the generic Legions as they make the transition during the reform far to easy.
