I cant find them trawled my entire pc (recently picked up the gold edition from GAME's online store) could some one upload them for me by any chance?

We are not allowed to post original files only modded ones according to TWC rules.
Anyways the .cfg file is always inside the main M2TW directory.
If it's not there then start the game and it will be generated again.

I've tried that and its not worked, I'll try re installing it then. Thanks for the reply

Did you also check the virtual store folder as well i think you are using vista or win 7 right?

Anyways reinstall in directory like:-
C:\games\M2TW
Trust me it will save you some hassle, running mods etc if on windows 7 or vista.

Yeah I'm using 7, I tend to install on a slave drive not my C drive. I'm about to re install so I'll update once that is done.

Okay so I re installed there was no preference folder so I booted up the game had a quick rumble with some rebels and quit, after that I had a preference folder but the only things in it where

Advice
Keys.DAT
Player (which is empty)

any ideas what's going on?

Okay managed to find it lurking in the MTW2 folder not in preferences go figer any hows can a mod close this please.

in windows advanced file search, tick the box that includes hidden and non index file/folders. The cfg file is in your hidden account.
