install problem

I download both parts in one folder, but i try to open part one like it says and it just shows me programs to pick to open the file and none of the programs can open it. idk what to do.

part 1 should be an .exe file, maybe if you add .exe to the end of the file name it might work.

hi,
i decided to try out DLV since it looks very interesting and got a strong historical taste. I dont have a problem with installing the mod but more a noob-question about the different files;
I have been downloading the 2 DLV 6.0 files and created a folder ("DLV") on my desktop. as mentioned earlier in this thread, i have made yhe first file a .exe to be able to open it. but i dont know where to "run" it.
should i "run" both the DLV 6.0 files into .../mods? or should i "run" them into another flder and them copy it to the .../mods (since they should stay together)?

If I recall, the first time you run the exe is to unite the two files into one main exe., that is why they are both put into one folder. Then you run the united file and it will prompt you for the final installation folder.
