    Default Factions Destroyed

    Is there a mod or an ingame way of preventing factions from being destroyed? I believe certain factions in my game are on their final family member, and are being destroyed after the lone member dies. These factions do have recruited generals, but it seems that none of them are part of the royal family. Any help would be appreciated.

    Killing off their recruited generals helps them adopt more family members.

    Hmmm...I could swore this was worked on in SS6.2, or am I confusing things with Third Age? I remember this being a problem there as well...

    if you figure out how to use geomod you can set it up so that factions can horde or that they just never die (like the papal faction)

    the current campaign script doesn't implement the faction heirs script to solve the issue.
    it needs to run throughout game and not just at beginning.
    start it after about 10 turns to give the AI a chance to adopt some FM's if they are short.
    (see the RozMod for how it should run.)

    i haven't tested on 6.3, but for 6.1 there was a faction horde mod. what i found was if a faction lost there last family memeber but still held cities the mod would create a new family memeber with out turning there cities rebel. of course if the faction lost all cities they respawned as a horde. (not like mongols, usually just one mixed unit stack) also if you beat a horde with out cities the faction finally died. i felt this simulated national pride and a nations rallying around whoever could save there culture.

    edit: oh yeah it was called 'all factions horde' mod

    In MTW1, if a faction was killed off, then after a few turns a long lost heir would spawn with a couple of stacks and try to re-establish the nation - worked a bit like William Wallace in SS. Gave me quite a shock until I came to expect it (similarly with the emergence of Burgundy).

    I do miss the civil war's from that version... even if they were a complete PIA, felt very real

    What I miss of MTW1 is "modern" graphic card support else I might still be playing it.

    Have you tried redux? This mod enables some modern gpus to play it. I played it with my gtx275
