    Default No secondary fire error?

I've observed in GC mod that none of my missile or siege troops have a secondary fire. My calvary and most melee troops have a secondary formation such as wedge, form schiltron, etc.

However the ballista, trebuchete, archers should have at least a fiery projectile feature, right?

I could not install Medieval II, Kingdoms and GC mod on this computer (Computer A) without making serious time sacrifices, so here's what I did.

Installed Medieval II, Kingdoms and GC mod on the computer behind (Computer B) me without a problem.

Took the SEGA registry data from Computer B and modified it to suit Computer A.

I shared the program files folder on Computer B and transfered all the files via network to Computer A.

I applied No-DVD .exe files, because I encountered a problem with starting up the game.

I opened up the launcher application and selected Grand Campaign Mod from the bottom right of the menu button on the launcher window.

Everything works great - I just thought that there were no fire projectiles in the game due to the mod, but I noticed that occasionally the enemy will use fiery weapons. Pray there is an easy fix for this.

How do I change it back so archers and siege weapons have secondary fire?

This is easy to change, all you need to do is unpack the Crusades campaign, and you don't need to even edit anythink. Note when you unpack the main game or any of the Kingdoms campaigns you must delete 2 files in the data folder you unpacked, or the game will crash when you load a battle. Delete the descr_geography_new.db and descr_geography_new.txt. Go to SEGA\Medieval II Total War\mods\crusades\data folder and copy the descr_projectile.txt. Now go to SEGA\Medieval II Total War\mods\kingdoms_grand_campaign_mod\data. And paste it into my mods data folder. You now have secondary fire for archers and fiery projectiles back for catapults and trebuchets

This comes from the FAQ thread in this forum.

I didn't see either of those files after unpacking Crusades, but I did find the projectile file and put it into ..\Sega\Medieval II Total War\mods\kingdoms_grand_campaign_mod\data

I'll load up the game and see how it works.

    --update--

I did a custom battle and fiery ammos works, but didn't the trebuchetes have a diseased carcass ability? In the custom battle there were only fire rounds.

And I believe that is your answer. Again, there is an FAQ for these questions....
But as I just read what stylix said in another thread, I'll leave this open until problem is solved .

I'm sorry for being dumb, but how do I actually 'unpack' the crusades camp? In my crusades folder everything already seems to be unpacked.

But if it's already unpacked, then you don't need to unpack it. If you can find the file required, then just use it
