I want to play a SPQR-camapain strictly using the house rules, although I also want the game to be both challenging andfun.
Lt, whats your policy on captured settlements? Do you occupy, enslave or exterminate?
I'm playing as Brutii, and all the cities I've captured have been enslaved, although I'm going to exterminate Corinth for obvious reasons. :original:
You aren't supposed to capture more than 20 provinces before Marius, but is raiding cities ok, ie capturing a city then enslaving/exterminating and selling buildings but then leaving the city to riot?
I hate just waiting for the Marius reforms, is it alright to bring stacks into enemy territory even though you have 20 provinces and raid the land, destroying all enemy armies but leaving the cities?
Do you sit back in the cities and wait for the enemy to come to you or do you march into the enemy territory looking for enemies?
In my current Brutii campain I've only been playing for a few turns and I've captured and enslaved 3 greek cities already and I'm planning to take the rebel city notheast of Italy, as the senate has asked me to do it. I've only used the armies I had when I began playing, the only thing I've been training is levies to use as garrison.
Prehaps I'm moving to fast, but what should I do;
sit back and let the enemy come to me
march into enemy territory but avoid to capture the cities
or sth else, whaddya think?
suggestions and help would be apprectaited!![]()
