Yes actually, from my sources they did fight like that in the war, They also fought in skirmish order, which is something all units can do in the mod

    and actually yes

The part that is wrong with the Prussian Guards is in fact the Picekhauben

we modeled them from this picture

But if you can find something contradictory to what Im saying, please share

Double post update before im off to bed: French units are in and the battle was epic, may have to tweak the stats just a tad, but overall it was very good, anyway the main thing the mod is waiting for are French Textures and fixes of the Prussian ones, Open BETA should come around in about 2 weeks

Wow guys, this looks amazing! I may just buy NTW just so I can play this mod when it gets released!
Also, if you need a researcher, I'm more than willing to lend a hand! Unfortunately I don't have the game so skins/models won't be an option, not that I have any modding talent anyway!

Rate if fire is too high, real rate of fire was no moret han 6 shots per minute. It looks like 15 shots per minute in your video. What unit, ground and time scaling do you use?
I dont mind rate of fire as long as it remains adequatly inacecurate.

    The prussians are terribly inaccurate

Cool but rate of fire is kinda too high, 12 shots per minute was theoretical speed in practice it was half of that. Here i can see even higher rate of fire. But as long as its inacecurate it wont hurt the gameplay. Yet from historical point of view it owuld be betetr to lower rate of fire and increase acecuracy.
Also as i mentioned some time ago in our private chat all infantry weapons should have same range but difreant acecuracy.

And let me ask again what scale are you using?
In case that mod wont meet my realism expectation would you mind if i develop hardcore realism submod?

I've managed to succesfully create quite good kepis without the rear part of the flap of the shako portruding above the rest of the hat, I could provide either Quad or Gunny with further details once I'm done with the full work for TGW.

American civil war mod makers have some nice kepis. Ask them.
They would make use of your prussian units so i bet you will find a consensus.

They cannot use these models and this mod can but likely wont use theirs due to differing formats.

Well the problem there being also that if we use those, that means (IIRC) we get the little ETW clone armies, which not only are annoying, but hurt performance and look strange for those who run on low settings

and Zietek, I would be happy if you made a submod

I surely will if your version wont be as realistic as i wish I have some friends to help but i would generally change unit sizes, moving speed, morale firepower etc. So it wouldnt require much effort.
