old school help

SO I played this game for a long, long time. Then i uninstalled it to remove all distractions while i finished my degree. Now that I am done I have reinstalled it. However it no longer works. I have not changed anything to the computer. I even had all the patches installed before. Anyhow, to answer all the basic questions. Yes, i have enough memory and meet all the specs. All my drivers are up to date. I even completely removed everything associated with SEGA just to make sure, before reinstalling it all.

Here is my question, beside the obvious "help me?!?!?" I thought i remembered having this problem a long time ago and somewhere i found a fix that said i needed to go into a readme file and change a few lines. Does anyone else remember this?

I just finished downloading patch 1 and 1.1 still working on 1.2 and 1.3 but dont think they will fix it as i have tried once already. The one of the version one patches unzipped just fine but the other said i needed to install the game first. WTF i did already.

ANy help would be awesome.

You cannot upgraed version 1.1. CA oopsed.

The installing otder is the dvds, 1.2 patch, 1.3 patch.
