I just started a Teutonic Order campaign and think its great and all but i like starting in the early era and building my way up and all that. Is there any way to add them to the Early Era with you owning only a fort and no Cities/castles?

Factions cannot start the campaign as a horde. You'd have to give them at least one settlement. Check out the Mod Workshop for tutorials on how to do what you want.
What about the Mongols? they start as a horde in vanilla (albeit they don't start the campaign in the beginning). Couldn't you make some sort of event that spawns a Teutonic army as a horde after the 1st turn? So that you just end the turn once and then the army spawns for you to control?
I am 35% addicted to Counterstrike. What about you?
You can take control of the Timurids, the Mongols, and/or the TO once they've spawned in hotseat.
Ah cool. I have 0% experience with hotseat so I wasn't sure.
You could change the startdate and the events and move them up to the TO emergence or just move that event to the first turn and then start a hotseat as proposed here.
Alternativly you can start a standard hotseat with say venice, take control of the TO, then use "control venice" to pass control of venice to the AI and then wait until the game has finished calculating all the turns until the TO actually arrive. Might take a while and make sure to have the T51 bug fixed.
