Those are Carstein's BG, not necessarily Blood Dragons. In fact, they can't be.
Blood Dragons have their Blood Armor all the time. It's part of them.

i agree with luthor all of the pictures carstein i have seen is either in armour or really buff so it really strange to see a vampire so slim look kinda weak

why do you think wat this unit is blood dragons??? They are carstein cavalry

Of course these are the models we all know and love. But as others said at least there could be an armor upgrade to give them a llitlle bit of plate.
