Multiplayer help

Hey guys, can you tell me some tips how to play in MP? I always get my arse kicked, so I was wondering could anyone share expirience.
And btw will my game be more "lagless" if both players are connected with hamachi?

Check out the MP section, there's a noob guide there and people who will help you if you have any more specific questions.
Maybe watch some of the Youtube channels, Julius has put together quite a good list over at the official forum.

maybe that youtube list should have a sticky place here for newer players, and for general purposes.of course there is the " Napoleon Total War Multi-Player Strategy Guide for Newbs" page

Ok, thanks, but what about my second question? Will hamachi improve connection?

should do.but its not worth it for playing randoms, you would have to add em as friends and then set it up.use hamachi when you are playing a steam friend, but you might find you have very little lag without it anyway

It does help if you want to play with someone but get the "host unreachable" message which will be gone if you're establishing a hamachi net.
I had this for a 2v2 where I could not join my partner so we went hamachi; connection worked between us and others could still join.
