Faction Icon of Malikate Mazandaran is missing?

well i really want to play that faction because apparently it is the only Iranian speaking faction but the only problem is i cant find their icon among the faction icons. thankfully their name is on the faction list and so is their position so im guessing you guys have not canceled them out. so whats up are you guys trying to find the historically accurate icon?

personally i couldn't find anything. so i though we might either give them an abbreviation of the Safavid dynasty with the green back ground, the lion and the sun. i remember reading somewhere the origin of the sun was because the Iranians wanted to differentiate themselves from the Arabs. as a result of this and their past history the Iranians picked the sun to counter the Arab moon symbol. so maybe we can give the Mazandaran a golden sun with green back ground as an example.

What do you mean by Iranian? Do you mean Persian/Farsi? Or do you speak of Iranian languages broadly?

yea, basically anyone on the Iranian plateau speaking Farsi/Persian.
so far in BC i have had either Turk or Arab on the Iranian plateau, i tried Kharazam shah(or wtv) but they are Tajiks and not really farsi speaking Iranians. apparently Mazdaran is a persian ruled state who speak farci, so that makes them the only Persian faction

the mazandaran people have their own language. they speak gilaki among themselvs and speak farsi with the other people of iran. their religion were zartusht until abbasid ruling on the part of iran and whole of iraq.
the older name of mazandaran was tabarestan (طبرستان)

they had the persian language as the administrative one, the population was mostly persian.
But the military was still Turks and the military language too. the ghaznavite, ghorids and kwarezm where more persianized, but the seljuks still had the turkish culture except the administrative language was persian

Khwarazm-Shahs were Turks, Khwarazmian military were mainly Turks, but common Khwarazminas were mainly Iranians; I'm not sure whether or not they were Tajiks, I know they were using Khwarazmian language, which is extinct now, and that language is of Eastern Iranian group, while Tajik language is of Western Iranian group.

well i understood that in N#3 Mazdaran will be Farsi speakers right? which means most of their troops must be fasi based but most of the seljuk troops are turks. anyways what is the icon of the mazandaran anyways?

No chauhan rajputs they are in game for custom battle but they are not playble in the campaign map.
And M of M i dont even know who that faction is

Then that was a nice trick that question of yours, given that this is MM thread.

I'm not sure why Chauhans are not playable. They will be in the next release.

Yes, that could cause a confusion. "Maliks of Mazandaran" = Bavandids (name of the ruling dynasty). We are not sure which one we will use, but both are correct.

tabaristan state had brave soldiers and knights. al-buya (آل بویه) was a great faction in this state and they attacked to the baghdad and gained the great victory. so they changed the abbasid caliph to make the middle east calm.
