Default Keeping a city's religion low for better diplomats.

My diplomats tend to be better in cities where my native religion isn't dominant. However, I wonder what a good range should be for a city to train diplomats is, and how to keep it there. I suppose not making anything better than a small church would help. Also if the city borders a city with another religion. Anything else?

This assuming I want to minimize cheating via remove_trait X and give_trait X.

not sure it's worth it, considering the public order hit and financial hit you might take. Just make do with lots of legal buildings to give him legal nouse etc.

Legal nouse is a merchant trait

I don't think influence is really all that... influential... in the first place, but if it bothers you, you could always cheat the religious intolerance away.

Without using the cheats should just remain with the small Church and don't build any more priests in that city. Then again be careful with the populaiton stats when it comes to happines and how content they are.

Right, small church should do for most stuff. You should go for churches in castles because of the health bonus they provide, also they can't make diplomats (unless you're a faction with a castle library).
