Just curious as to what different people did. I sent the whole right flank off and attacked the far right of the map (where the prussians entered) Sealed off my whole left flank preserving them for later. Sooner or later the whole british left was wiped out and their cavalry was dead having charged my defended left flank. Their left consisting of only infantry finally moves to protect their left while my left charges.

Basically i killed them off one at a time from their side. They only reacted to this once i had killed most of their left army. Prussians didnt stand a chance as my guys were positioned so that they could shoot them as soon as they entered. I guess i was lucky with that one.

Two tactics worked for me :

Tactic one : Mass up ALL your army except for the arty on the right through that little passage and "spawn kill" the Prussians, be sure to box them in. Then simply attack Mr.Wellington from his left flank

Tactic two : I was quite lucky with this one. I just ordered ALL units except the arty to charge with melee on Wellington. I killed him, but suffered MASSIVE casualties. Then I ordered 5 inf. units to take the farmhouse on the far left, 3 inf. units to take the middle farmhouse, and just one infantry to take the farmhouse on the right. I eliminated the Prussians with 2 arty units firing canister, because they moved in a column formation, and I flanked the Prussian rear with the infantry that were previously holding up in the farmhouses. Again, I was quite lucky

The first thing that came to mind when I first surveyed the map was to pack up and shift the army to the right. The left had those cliffs that extended all the way back, and would take forever to flank on a time-limited mission, so the right was the obvious choice. Attacking the farmhouses and the ridge, where Wellington was hill-camping with all his emplaced artillery and skirmishers, seemed downright suicidal. By shifting to the flank, many of those houses and artillery pieces are neutralized by default.

The fact that I caught the Prussians as they were coming in was an unexpected bonus. I actually thought they'd come in on the rear/flank instead.

Playing on the British side, I just sat the ridge and let the French charge me. The battle almost plays itself. The map is definitely rigged against a conventional French strategy.

I win by frontal charge in H difficulty (normal version).
Just send two fusiliers to take the Papelotte farm on the far right, then massing your infantry to fire at the Nassau Jagers at the orchard before storming into La Haye Sainte (with Young Guards and Grenadiers) and Hougomont (Old Guards). The British cavalry may launch a countercharge against your artillery, so prepare your own superior cavalry to deal with them.
