Army of 400 some armorless, pickaxe weilding men going zerk and slaughtering a somewhat well balanced army.
OR my favorite of 500 of them slaughtering about 5000 Urban Guards.
So, Favorite overpowered units?

I don't know what my favorite unit is, but I definitely know they're not zerks.
Sounds pretty much like this thread is about custom battles isn't it?

Define 'Over Powered'
It could be Germanic Warbands, Chariots (Auto-resolve), Elephants, Urbs, Spartans....
Out of those I say Armoured Elephants
I was once an Angel of Total War Heaven, but gave up my wings for a life on the sea of battle.
Well, Custom IS the easiest way to test power in general.
But, overall experience.

AI seems to think bull warriors are god-kings on auto resolve. Apparently3-4 own a full stack of silver experience legionaries and with silver exp archers and > 2 chevron roman cav
The tale of Legio IV Flavia Felix: After cowardice during the Revolt of 69-70 AD the IV Macedonian was reconstituted and renamed IV Flavia Felix, or "lucky legion" signifying its luck at not being dishonorably disbanded.
I dont.

Id say the head hurlers are really overpowered u can easily take out a unit with two head hurlers without any experience but they epic fail in hand to hand![]()
Here's a custom battle test for you: one or two units of horse archers (about 1k) on skirmish can probably destroy an entire army of berserkers (closer to 20k). There you essentially have AI vs AI. Now any decent player is going to completely annihilate anyone who brings such a silly army.
Any archer unit can force overpowered units like chariots, elephants, spartans and bezerkers to their knees as they are still as vulnerable to arrows as other units (with the exception of Urbans because of their huge shield, but they can also be killed easily (like surrounding and pepper them from the back and when they form testudo charge them)). Elephants are a bit harder to kill but they can still be defeated when firing flaming arrows. Combine that with the swiftness of light cavalry and you have a lethal weapon, and in BI you have the Climbinarii Immortals but they aren't as good as light cavalry archers I think.![]()

given my luck, amok eles and scythes always run towards me instead of trampling their own guys.
