My uncle came to me with this one, he had a lot more sources printed out than I could find on the internet. To sum it up, you could basically:

Remove yourself from the Corporation of THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.
Become only a citizen of your state.
Not have to go to any federal courts.
Not be bound to, or protected by federal laws.
Be called by your surname only. (That had significance for some reason)
And of course, the obligatory "not pay income taxes" that we only dream about, because residents of this country are only supposed to pay taxes on interest and other money earned through investments, not labor.

And apparently, some lawyer did this all.

The article linked is written in such a mad conspiracy theorist way it really undermines the author's legitimacy. I don't know whether to take anything she says seriously when she claims things like:
"How do you like being ruled by a cheesy, sleazy corporation? You'll ask your Congressperson about this, you say? HA!! Congress is fully aware of this deception"

I just don't give her opinion much weight even though I don't know much about this area of political history. Too much time spent in caps mode makes for an unconvincing argument regardless of content.

it doesnt matter who you elect, those with power and $$$ still end up on top and real change only happens with thier say so.

democracy is a lie, nothing annoys me more than ppl who expect other countries to become democracies based on...what? bull idealism, nothing more.

Hmm? Democracy can work and produce results. The recent Australian election has done just that, with a handful of independent MPs holding the balance of power. Are you responding to me or the OP again?

in all countries, it's really the unelected bureacrats who run the country, along with the financial Elite who 'lobby' and 'donate $$$' to their favoured politician.

this aint democracy, it aint even classic demokracy, athens style.

Yeah, but the concept cannot be dismissed. I mean, it did change, people have become citizens of only their states.
