Default So I found this religious site...

And I can't help but have trouble reading some of the posts on the forums. Read this...

    http://www.landoverbaptist.net/showthread.php?t=52144

Does this not count as a hate site? This is ridiculous. Is the world truly this stupid that things like this are still said. I just wanted to post this and allow a few people to give their opinion on the utter ignorance of what they see.

IMO I would like to punch a few of these people in the face. Hate like this is ridiculous and frankly this site should be closed down as a hate site.

This is umm a horrifically caricaturing website. Here's a sample quote:

What a great Milestone for your little Soldier. It won't be long before he can attend his first stoning! How's his pitching arm?
Come on are you kidding me?

I thought so when I read a bit further. At first I thought it was a very strict implementation of Poe's Law but the further I read, the more inane it becomes.

Update: its a parody folks. Thank god. That said I would like to continue this thread as it is a parody of THE REAL THING as in there are sites like this in the U.S...
    Go find one.

    We'll wait right here.

No, there aren't. If there were, there wouldn't be any need to create such an insulting and offensive garbage of a website, and you, RVFVS, should know better.

I find it hard to see this as my fault.

And are you actually telling me there are no bible bashers in America? No sites that contain this crap? Now, you should know better.

The site continually mocks Christians in the most plainly retarded and insulting ways possible, while you cheer it on and find it "brilliant"?

What in the world does this have to do with "bible bashing"? A vast majority of the most distinguished and enlightened European men were "bible bashers", do you know anything about European history?

The thread you linked to, for example, depicts people encouraging little children to pummel other little gay children until they have pieces of flesh on their knuckles, cheering on stoning and asking how the little child's pitching arm is, etc. This is plain irresponsible, irrational, and immoral side of atheism. And you should not be characterizing it as "brilliant".

The reason I find it brilliant, Sig, is that it shows how stupid the behaviour of the classic Southern Bible bashing christian is. Many of the posts on that site are from real christians. The creator made the site after being expelled from a christian school so he could expose the stupidity of the forementioned behavior. I don't find the content brilliant it is the reaction.

The ability to mock elements of some Christian denominations isn't anything to do with atheism. Another Christian could do exactly the same thing. Claim it's irresponsive, irrational and immoral all you like, it's still nothing to do with atheism.

we have the entire dark and middle ages to make up for, when christianity crushed all freedom and development in western civilisation (Apart from how to build really big churches and murder people ofc)

I thought the site was bogus.

I mean, I accept some people consider the fundamentalists as stupid, but the posts here were written in a way that was purposefully open to criticism from liberal atheists.

Well a favourite to pick on for bigotry is the Westboro Baptist Church. It's similar in some ways, though Landover goes beyond it in many. That's parody for you.
