Collection of 13 famous battles of the ancient world

Author: All links are from the youtube and i didn't own any of them. Just found they're so great and i want to share them for everyone

. The famous battles of the ancient times was "rebuild" extremely impressive and imposing with the Rome Total War engine. If you are a fan of the TW series this is something hard to ignore

I watched the Adrianople and Thermopalyae episodes. Good show, they really did a good job of describing the situation before, not just the actual fighting.

Also ,you can add the Time Commanders series - also made using Rome Total War , at least most of them . Some HQ episodes can be found here .

Reminded me I got a game knocking about somewhere but I've never installed it..The History Channel great battles of Rome or somethng? Is it worth digging out or is a load of old cobblers or what?

It pretty much sucks , don't bother with it , but ... I play Caesar 3 from time to time , Cossacks , Port Royale ,etc ...so if you played it before and enjoyed it , take a shot , if not ...take a beer .

And a gameplay video : Youtube - WARNING , ugly music played loud , lower sound before playing the video .
History Channel are great on making shows , documentaries , etc , but definitely NOT video games .
For those interested in history you might also take a look at History Channel: Rome rise and fall of an Empire . There are some 13 episodes , I've got them all , they are just great .

+rep. The History channel Rome game seems a duffer and will probably be left to gather dust. The player reviews of 1 out of 10 are hardly sparkling, and it looks like a B grade attempt at the mighty RTW. I think I'll stick to plodding through the Ninhohonho video compilation.

Thanks for the warning about that shocking Youtube music too...sheesh what a load of shite!!

Time Commanders was good in series 1 but pretty bad in series 2.
