Problem with editing patch.pack.

Hello everyone I have a problem with editing patch.pack. I use pack file menager 1.13 and i changed number of soldiers in semenys armed citizenary from 80 to 200 and in game they are 80 if somebody can help me i would be happy men.Please help!

I could only recommend to change the "pack" type to "movie" --> nothing more.

First, choose the movie type from the list and then make some changes in db table.

After that save changes.

Of course set in your game options unit size to ultra.....otherwise i' m not sure if the change would be visible in ETW.


You could also export this particular table to a new mod pack and launch it via Mod Manager as a mod.

I made some changes in patch.pack too, and they are visible in game...i don't know what is wrong with your ETW 1.5.

I changed type to movie but nothing changed.

I have created new file in pack file menager and added into it unpacked units stats land changed to mod but when i try to lanuch empire total war error shows up it looks like that this game dont want to accept my changes.
Wow i changed type to movie in my own file and it works now Thank you jakub i own you a beer.

So, finally it is working.

Well, setting patch.pack as "movie" is the last option, but always works.

I could provide some others tutorials how to change particular unit stats, if you wish of course.

Well i have changed my own mod to movie (patch.pack didnt work with that) and i uploaded it at mods section if somoene wants to se 160 grenadiers and 100 light infantry and more i recomend to download it.

So, you did as i did --> you changed the new mod pack to "movie".

I think that Ultra settings mean max 160 men in unit as default, but you could change this.

So, you created your first mod, my congratulations!
