Great victory

wow - just wanted to make a quick post - sometimes NTW can be full of suprises and tonight was one of those night

i played a guy - GoV Flames - in a 1v1 game - and i was owned

i cant remember geting such a hiding for such a long time - his micro was just great

i had a look at there steam page and i think this clan is going to be special - fair, honourable and aggressive seem to be there style - so if your looking for a good game i suggest you give these guys a match

he actually said he thought he was just lucky - hmmmm nah i was just owned

i was very impressed

sounds fun.is he high up in their clan?

omg i hope he was the best they got - if not i can see lots of losses coming my way

i think ive been playing pretty damn good lately - but then someone comes out of the blue and bring you crashing back to earth - gota love that

i would list my 5 most earth shattering moments as the following

playing the following guys for the first time

Blonkers
Synoptic
Valkerie
Tyler

When you play these guys you have to be ready for thier assault otherwise your just going to be owned

Haha the first{and only}time i played valkerie he rolled over me in short order. It was a good lesson

I thought I was tearing up people on empire all the time till I decided to try out for DH and faced tyler I don't think I ever had that big of a whooping probably since I first started playing it, it was fun though watching my seemingly indestructible army get isolated unit by unit and getting butt raped by cav.

p.s. First match was a nightmare second match had a chain route going then I just lost momentum

Haha good to hear! Although it seems to me from playing the game that micromanagement is what wins the battle not necessarily the tactically astute. Often its both combined that brings about a victory but i see guys who have sound strategies but their micromanagement is just not there so i can beat them but sometimes you come up against a guy whose strategy is not sound but they micromanage so well that its a very tough battle. I think younger guys definitely have the advantage when it comes to micromanagement, particularly with NTW which is so much faster than ETW - lightning fast reactions can save the day!
I know this is a little off topic but i tought id raise the point anyway

the guy who started gov clan has trashed talk myself and insulted HUNTSMAN a few times i know off. so they are not all sweetness and light. i know pretoria and julius from HUNTSMAN are members also. not knocking the clan as i know and played all there members and they are not bad. surprised u got beat really termi lol.
when i get back to playing properly in the new year i hope to get some games in with them...

I have been involved in a couple of clan battles against GOV, 4v4's on grassy and they are pretty good, cronje i believe is there leader and he is pretty good termi maybe have a game with him too m8. I believe Huntsman and GOV play alot of games against each other or atleast were a few weeks backs.

I wasn't sure i believed him when he told me about this match lol. Flames, or Pine as he calls himself, joined Gov just a few weeks ago. I dont think he has played any Huntsman after he joined except for a 1v1 against Bushranger.

And just for reference, Torden is the founder and leader of Gov and @trip Cronjeistheevilone


Huntsman will soon play against Gov, with Pine on the team, in a tourny two weeks from now.
