autosave causes crashes etc, its best to have it off. But if you want it go to DLV-ext.cfg i think and type yes where autosave is
You could quicksave. (Ctrl + S, just in case)
Oooh, and Ctrl + L is of course quickload. Good luck no matter what you choose to do.

Yeah, I heard auotsave caused CTD's so I only Save and Load the full way. Rarely suffer a CTD since. Just save every other turn, use the game date to help log it, etc.
Nope, never had a crash that I think was caused by autosave... and that save is worth gold sometimes![]()
The Danes, I swear, with their half arsed attempts at a 'war'. You gotta give it to 'em, they just dont stop trying. Listen, I've fought the Timurids, ever heard of them? Elephants with cannons on their backs. Yea, Timurids. You guys are like kids on tricycles compared to them. -REZ
Probably a stupid question but all of the ctds I am getting are coming up when I suspect Auto_save is kicking in at the end of the AI turn. It doesn't happen all the time, but now with increasing frequency which is very frustrating after winning a battle when I'm defending.
I too have heard auto_save can cause problems with heavily scripted mods like this, but how do you disable autosave?
I've tried changing the "Auto_save = 1" line in DLV_extbak.cfg to "Auto_save = 0", but there is no change and the game continues to Auto_save so my change did not appear to do anything. I don't even know if the file I changed is used, but it was the only .cfg file I could find that had a line for Auto_save.
If anyone can tell me how to disable auto_save that would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
