I was trying to change the way reputation is handled (make it easier to get immaculate) but I could not find the file that handles reputation

Is this something that is hard coded?

Do you mean Global Standing? Try the descr_faction_relations file, and ctrl+f for Global_Standing.

Yep that's the one that Eothese mentioned. And increase all the negative values in the triggers having Global standing thing as Eothese mentioned.

ah, thanks, i thought global standing only affected relations (terrible....outstanding) between nations

so global standing affects reputation (untrustworthy...very trustworthy..immaculate)?

Yes it only affects that not the faction relations.
