    Default Windowed mode

    I really enjoy the fullscreen borderless windowed mode Stainless Steel 6.3 offers, but unfortunately, don't enjoy the mod as much due to personal preference. However, I do enjoy some other MTW2 mods, and was wondering how I can get the fullscreen borderless windowed mode on those mods. I know Stainless Steel does something other than just change the preferences.ini file, and was wondering if you guys know what they do as well so that I may implement them on some other mods. Thanks.

    to make a game have the borderless windowed mode all the changes are in the configuration file, in the case of 6.3 called default.cfg (it is always a .cfg)
    Basically all u have to do is under the heading of "video" in this file is to add the lines;
    windowed=true
    borderless_window=true

    Ensure that these are the only two lines refering to windows (no repeats) and save the file, if all is well it should work now.

    By the way this can be done to any mod in the configuration file.

    Make sure you change the file to a "read only" after you are done, otherwise SS6.3 may change it back again.

    SS6.3 won't do that if you switch "autoborderlessmode" to "off" / false

    Make sure it doesn't have read only checked under it's properties.(Otherwise you can't changes)
    Right click it and select open with notepad.
    After that paste the command inside and save changes:-
    Code:
    windowed=true
    borderless_window=true

    What you describe is automatically controlled by desktopresolution = gameresolution, a behaviour that is switched on and off by autoborderlessmode.
