Well a friend of mine in 3rd Recon battalion was tagged in this video and I just happened to watch it. A corpsman from his battalion wrote a poem and this video was made in tribute to the guys that 3rd Recon Battalion lost during their 06-07 deployment. I thought it was very touching. Hopefully it works and those who are interested can see it.

    Here.

Jesus, that was incredible. I've listened through it at least four times already... +rep.

I'll stop arguing against God the second I'm disproven'. I'm praying to God I eventually am.

Very moving and in many ways haunting.

I am not usually a fan of poetry but there is just something about war poetry that really hits a nerve

Yeah man I've listened to it many times and it just sort of strikes a chord with me. I don't know if you've ever heard the song the Green Fields of France by the Dropkick Murphys, but that's also very moving and haunting. It's about a young Private named Willy McBridge dying in WWI.

    very good, very moving
kinda reminds me of all those who would've become poets, scientists, doctors etc if they hadn't died in war

a tragic waste of human life
