    Default Police Corruption

Today in my community I was nearly arrested for carrying an airsoft gun (200 fps) plastic bbs and on safety around. The condominium president (a piece of cuban criminaL -my friend heard me say that and hes cuban but he didnt mind -) snatched and stole my gun confiscating it without proper authority. I shall present my case:

a.) I was in an open, though residential block.
b.) I had it constantly on safety and only used semi-auto.
c.) We shot at only each other, aiming at our feet.
d.) We shot at a 20 yard range with a 200 fps gun, meaning it would barely touch you from that distance.
e.) We had the orange tip on the gun to prove it was a bb gun.
f.) We were using much precaution not aiming it at anybody else or at the upper body.

They even accused us of shooting children! And the Kids said we didn't (there were other people with bb guns that might have shot them and got away with it). The cop gave me attitude and was telling me that I need to learn how to listen. I would, but your being irrational and disrespectful to me and my family.

If the condominium director would have been more respectful I would have given it to him and thus a friend of his was trying to convince him to charge my hard working mother. FOR NO CRIME???

At last they gave me back my gun because I didn't do anything, and you know what else they said?

What If they confused me at night playing with it and shot me thinking it was real. First of this is irrelevant, because we were shooting during the daylight and the orange tip"s" serve exactly for that purpose...

What have our cops become in todays society? Are they being corrupt for just money????

They kept justifying what if we hit someones eye. DUUUH thats why you aim down. ANd yet they say, "what about the deflection or ricochay (dont know how to spell that). Im sorry but from such a range with a 200 fps and aiming down it would be as lucky to hit an eye and cause minimal damage (like if sand had gotten in) as winning the State lottery...

Id gladly let someone scream at me if they actually risked their lives for their country, not risk their physique by eating so many god damn donuts!

This is how I'm interpreting these events. Feel free to correct any error you see:

    1. You rent an apartment from people who don't allow you to run around with an airsoft gun shooting your friend in the parking lot.
    2. You ran around with an airsoft gun shooting your friend in the parking lot.
    3. They take your airsoft gun.
    4. You get mad because they take your airsoft gun, relying on a defense of orange tips and daylight. You also somehow manage to tie it into an issue of corruption.

OK... so you were playing with or shooting an airsoft gun inside a condominium, next to other people which weren't wearing safety glasses and weren't even with you? Sorry mate, serves you right then.

I don't know how it is over there, but here you can only play airsoft on the countryside (you have to be at some few hundred meters - I don't recall exactly - from urban areas) or in dedicated airsoft fields. And I agree with it.

That was irresponsible and had nothing to do with corruption. Ffs, did you even paid a fine for that? Well, you know what, you should have paid. And trying to bring corruption into this, particularly if you got away without a fine, is ridiculous.

Unless you're not telling the whole story.

no in an open block. It was a toy, like a water gun... It barely even touches people from that range. Off course we took precautions.

No, sorry, a 200 fps airsoft gun isn't a water toy, no matter how you put it. Water guns don't blind if they hit someone's eyes. A lost bb can blind.

AND other people don't have to take with your irresponsibility. You just shouldn't play airsoft in public places.

Is there something you left out above? Because really I don't see where this 'corrupt' part comes from.

Maybe my definition of "airsoft gun" is a bit hazy. "Like a water gun"? Are you joking? At 200Fps, a plastic BB could cause serious injury, I got shot in the mouth with a 200Fps airsoft rifle and it was swollen for hours, I bled all over the place. Imagine if you would have shot a passer by in the eye by accident? Unacceptable mate, sorry.

Such a childish response. So you're 100% sure one of those BBs couldn't have ricocheted and hit somebody in the eye? Airsoft guns are dangerous, I'm suprised there aren't laws prohibiting their use, or even being in possession of one in public places like there are in this country.

im sorry but your lieing about the fps and stuff because we shot each other from less then 12 inches to prove to him and it didn't even leave a damn MARK!

I agree playing with 300 fps and above is dangerous but this is just ridiculous.

How exactly were you taking precautions by the way?

Anyway, if you got hurt because you weren't careful with yourself (a safety in airsoft pretty much revolves around wearing some safety glasses and that's it) it wouldn't be such a great issue, but other people could get hurt because they weren't aware you were playing airsoft. Say, imagine a small child got into that empty block (or was it a parking lot, anyway, it doesn't matter) and the kid, somehow, was hurt. Was is his fault or your fault? After all, you were the ones playing in a public area.

And I don't know where are you from, but laws are pretty strict when it comes to playing airsoft in public places. In here they are so restrictive than the local police departments even support some policemen to play airsoft so they can supervise the legality of the guns (you have to be federated in the Portuguese Airsoft League to own guns) and the people playing them. In our local airsoft club there are 6 or 7 Republican Guards out of 30 or so members, I used to play with them, those were good times and they were some cool dudes.

OK, but they could have showed up... Frederich, this is all about "could". It didn't happen but it might have happened. And it's better safe than sorry. If I were you I'd more careful next time and I'd go somewhere outside your city to play in the future. Go play in some isolated place, but never in public areas.

Yeah, that thing about them being so liberals with it comes to real guns and so restricted with airsoft ones is ridiculous, but hey, it's the law, and you probably don't want to get into trouble. I don't condone the liberal use of real guns either, of course.

Yes thanks for agreeing with me on something. the main problem is people think this is professional airsoft caliber when its a cheap and I mean really cheap caliber. thx again and I dont like being called childish.

You are very true with the could, but it was an open area and there were so many factors disfavoring it by far.

You should have shot him in the back as he was leaving.
As a teenager, I was taken to various houses and flats above takeaways in the north of England, to be beaten, tortured and raped over 100 times. I was called a “white slag” and “white ****” as they beat me.

sorry but theres a little sting for ours and thats it. No marks no nothing. And we were shooting from far range. Im sorry but im not going to hit a kid where I can see openly at that range with a gun that cant even bruise or leave marks at 12 inches away. It was on semi btw.
