radioactive tracers (HW Q)
hi guys. i need to do a 4 page essay on the uses of radioactive tracers. i know what they are and how they work, but im finding it hard to find any in depth information on how it is used in anything other than medical uses. any links to good sites would be a great help

well ive shifted through tons of google searches and they give lots of verry short descriptions of their uses. i am finding it hard to find 4 pages worth of stuff.

I think you are using the wrong searchwords. Read up on Single Photon Emission Computed Tomography and Positron Emission Tomography.
Combine descriptions of the nucleotide with how the machine actually work to detect the tracer and how they manage to localise the isotopes to the right parts of the body (more here).
I have only used Wikipedia links but I think that you should use the references on wikipedia to get further sources. The introductions to scientific articles can be very helpful even if you are "only" a highschool student.
