Drop-in games?

Hi, can you kind folks describe the current situation with drop-in games please?

I have recently started playing Napoleon (and quite new to these forums), and find the idea of drop in games very appealing. So far I have had three games where I have had opponents for my campaign games, these opponents were found very quickly and although one ended just after set-up when my opponent quit/dropped/ran away, the other two games ended successfully. My problem is that im struggling to participate in other peoples campaigns. Checking the drop-in land battles box in the multiplayer options and clicking search does nothing but search. I have had no connection even after leaving it searching for almost an hour.

I wondering if im doing something wrong or if there just isnt anybody else looking for opponents.
Ive also heard that sometimes while playing your own campaign you are asked to participate in other players campaigns as a drop-in, does this happen? How frequently?

is a guy mystic hero in your clan - if he is dont play him - cus he does the quit thing which is kinda irritating - i couldnt care less about points - i just hate plug pullers

if hes not - well drop in battles arnt working as well as they once were but the game is now about 8 months old so you have to think not as many playing as there once was and its a tick box at the start of creating a new campaign which enables drop in battles and i suspect the novelty has worn off so anyone playing campaign probably only wants to face the AI now as they probably having the same problem as you getting a drop in battle with someone

Nah, dropin battles work fine, there's just so many more people searching for games to dropin to than battles are available that you have to get real lucky to find one while searching.
So you're doing nothing wrong, it's just that the numbers are against you.
And yeah, I have been asked to participate while playing GC, but only quite rarely; I haven't been playing a lot of campaign though lately.

sorry didnt mean like malfunctioning - i meant it seems harder now to get a game - lol

you never know, after a certain patch from CA, they might indeed start malfunctioning.

I did manage to find a drop-in game last night, so at least I know im doing it right.
