I thought since there's a poll and discussion concerning which "good" faction is the hardest to play as. Why not have a similiar one for the "evil" factions?

It is not titles that honour men, but men that honour titles.

Hey, this one isnt hidden! :p
ISengard: I always get ganged up by HE, Rohan, and occasionally SE too. Plus, Isengard is the only recruitment centre/moneymaker in the neighbourhood, so you're really poor![]()
I salute those who took the Hungarian Phrasebook simply because of the quote!
I voted Isengard after a thought, it may be also Mordor or mountain orcs/goblins.
Harad is big and it may be hard to manage it, but I haven't tried yet.
Mordor is powerful but right on the frontline.
It's almost certanly not Rhun; it has good units and starting position.

I did not vote, because I have not played all of them since new patch. I am certain it is not Rhun or Harad. Their starting position is too good. Mordor is very very easy so there is no way it can be "the one". I would bet one of the Mountain faction is the most difficult.
"When your opponent fears you, then's the moment when you give the fear its own rein, give it the time to work on him. Let it become terror. The terrified man fights himself. Eventually, he attacks in desperation. That is the most dangerous moment, but the terrified man can be trusted usually to make a fatal mistake."
"I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain."
I think Isengard.
Probably Isengard.
But OoG is a pain too because of the weak units vs dwarves (OotMM units better imo).
imo it's orcs of gundabad and OOTMM
i had no problems when i played with mordor, harad, isengard and rhun
First time playing this. I want to play as an evil faction, which one do you recommend? Nothing too hard please. Oh and, I hate orcs.
I'm going to say the Orcs of Misty Mountain.
In the next patch I hope the improve them a bit instead of just focusing on rocking out the Good Factions.
Orcs needed their skirmishers to have "Javelins effective against armor" as they should be. And also gain exp quicker. Since they die so fast they never gain exp, and even if a group of halberds are fighting for the entire fight they may not gain any exp. It would seem that since orcs are supposed to be basically untrained rabble, that they would gain the exp the fastest. And they should since they will die off soon anyways.
And warg riders need to be reworked. They are light cavalry instead of heavy, lets face it. And they just fall over with out any real charge like other cavalry. Maybe give orcs a unarmored warg unit and then one that is armored and is more of a heavy cavalry. And make the generals body guards better. Either give them armored wargs or something. Nothing is more frustrating than seeing your faction leader die to a group of Light Elven Infantry fighting them 1v1. The bodyguards should decimate any early unit like every other general does.
So in summary
> Improved General bodyguard units, or give them armored Wargs
>Skirmishers should get "javelins effective against armor"
>Quicker exp for all orc units
>Give halberdiers "Effective against cavalry" . I mean they are basically long spears in a way. They have a spear wall for crying out loud.
Orcs of the Misty Mountains.

Isengard.
Horrible start(hemmed in on al sides), Wargs are Tier 2 rather than tier 1 for a 1 point attack difference, initial troop types also suck.
Trolls are more spectacular :p But berserkers just look more awesome XD
If Isengard got Wargs on the first tier stables, it wouldn't be so bad. But Wargs are the only units capable of actually killing elven archers. And by the time HE attack me, I have either barely finished the second tier and maybe one unit of wargs (YAY! JUST 6 MORE TURNS UNTILL THE NEXT ONE!) or I'mm still building the second tier.

Many people vote OotMM,I haven't played them yet but they are quite a problem for me, if I play as high elves or eriador...
Yes, but the OotMM have a bad starting position, weak units, only free of attacks in the north were Gundabad is.
You'll have to fight on multiple fronts vs. superior forces (Noldor, Dwarves, Silvans).
And they have an extended empire hard to defend.

I'm surprised OotMM is leading the poll. I found OoG a lot harder to play.
The OotMM units seemed more versatile to me - better top end archers, better top end heavy infantry and snaga skirmishers which OoG don't have which can be very useful.
Ok OoG got snow trolls but the OotMM cave trolls are fine.
I've only done one campaign for each so maybe I just got lucky with the way the map went on the OotMM run, I dunno.
OotMM got my vote for one reason over OoG and that is beacuse their unit with the highest damage output, and what should be a huge part of their roster is HORRIDLY slow to a point that it's awkward and frustrating to use with the OotMM, a faction that thrives on aggressive play. Speaking of their halberds of course.
