You realize that list does not necessarily add up... go see quest for fire nominally sorta accurate I suppose and about as exciting as watching paint dry. If you want accuracy watch a documentary no movie is going to be since they are entertainment of one sort or another. Some movies that have decent battle episodes are incorrect in other ways etc. or just boring or bad.plz. not holywood crap such as braveheart, gladiator ,king arthor and all that

I would say you need to offer up an example what is a non Hollywood, not boring pre-gunpoweder era movie you do like with accurate battle episodes?

But if the cause be not good, the king himself hath a heavy reckoning to make, when all those legs and arms and heads, chopped off in battle, shall join together at the latter day and cry all 'We died at such a place; some swearing, some crying for surgeon, some upon their wives left poor behind them, some upon the debts they owe, some upon their children rawly left.

Centurion isnt Hollywood crap, but that because its british, but isnt accurate either..
look. im not mean full acuraccy. ok.but theres a diffrent between not acruatte and total crap like braveheart. they just took a good historical stroy and just changed everything in it. everything. that what i meant.
and in gladiator there are so many dumb things like. viking helmets in the arena room. medevial armor of the gladiators, spinning crosbow(what the hell is that?) the opening scene when they throw exploding rocks and they explode like ww2 airplane bombs
despite all that i did loved gladiator. watched it a milion times.i did loved breaveheart too despite the inacruaccy.
you say ''watch a documentry'' but im looking for a movie not a documentry. i do love creativity but not when its going to far.
"Alexander" was fairly accurate. (More accurate then "Gladiator" anyway)
Ignore the crappy music the uploader added to the battle.

if you can your hands on decent english subtitles and have an interest in eastern european history i strongly recommend dacii, columna, mihai viteazul and mircea.
rome (the tv series) was quite accurate when it came to the general atmosphere and the way romans lived at that time. the whole pullo and vorenus thing is pure fantasy but apart from that it gets it spot on. in fact it is far more accurate than most history channel and discovery documentaries when it comes to roman lifestyle. you might also try the tudors, for the same reasons.
Last of the Mohicans and Master and Commander are pretty accurate, they are both in a later period however.
Spartacus and Ben Hur are also great classics which are doing their best at realism despite the technology at the time not being that good yet for battles which is especially noticeable in the large fight in Spartacus.
OK - I misunderstood you, sorry if I was being a bit of jerk.

True but odd choices I mean the tigers (although lions would have been more likely) and trap doors on chains held by people: reasonable and interesting ideal. The crossbows kinds silly.Don't think Gladiator was going for anything historically accurate besides putting in some known Emperors and giving them an angle and twist. The film was a drama piece.

It looked more like some sort of balista to me.
Barry Lyndon:
1) Stop spelling poorly.
2) Accurate movie =/= good movie.
3) Gladiator and Braveheart were far from crap. There's a very good reason they won the Oscar for best picture for their years: they were actually very good films.
4) Barry Lydon, Alexander, Kingdom of Heaven (director's cut), and Robin Hood are good choices. Relatively accurate; and the ones that aren't accurate per se get the atmosphere and "feel" of the era across, which is much more important in a film anyway.
