Default Playing with Rohan (without early rush)

Well, a similar topic certainly exist, but my question is: how to play Rohan without blitzing? I don't want to rush and attack Isengard too early, but it seems impossible to win.
-Invasions every 15-20 turns against Edoras, nearly unstoppables (5 or 6 full stacks, at least)
-Very poor towns, with few population
-2 ennemies: Isengard and very soon orcs of the misty mountains
-and a third: Mordor, who take very quickly Minas Tirith, and can after that attack the towns of Rohan

I win heroic battle after heroic battle, but with few money and an incredible number of ennemy's stacks, I can't see how to take cities without losing the same number. Since the Orcs have a very good moral, I can't win settlements battles with limited garrisons.

I should be possible to win with Rohan but how? (one more time, without blitzing the first turns)

I played low difficulty, though. But I allianced early with Isengard. Invasions were mainly orc looters so my tactic was simply this: Infantry in front gate, cavalry side. Tie battle with infantry and rush with cavarly. 50 heroic wins. That was the thing that made bored: so many battles

With higher difficulties, Rohan is maybe hardest good faction to play IMO, after Eriador

Eriador isn't really hard; just have to be careful with invasions, thats all.

If you're having trouble, try playing on a lower difficulty.

This. This mod plays very differently from vanilla M2TW. So, there is no shame in playing on a lower difficulty setting to get used to these changes. Anyway, I usually play defensively for the first few turns and build up my economy before building up my military. Basically holding out undermanned so I can explode onto the map later. You know the Edoras invasion is coming so, always be prepared.

Thanks for your advices. What should be my first target: Isengard, orcs of the misty mountains, Mordor (retaking Minas Torith and giving it back to Gondor)?

Orcs of Gundabad as Rohan? I think you're thinking of Eriador? Isengard should always be your first target, they'll eventually attack you and make you pay if you allow them to build up their military.

Edit: Also, unless Mordor is taking Minas Tirith ridiculously fast in your campaign, you should be going on the offensive before this even happens.

Yes, I was talking about Eriador.

It is clear who your first target is as Rohan.

If you play Rohan you don`t need cavalry units like Rohan Scouts and Rohan Riders at the early game - dissolve them and save money by using your generals with their stronger mounted bodyguards

When playing Rohan, I almost always muster a full stack at Hornburg, by sending troops from each town there.
Once the troops are armour-upgraded, I send them North to attack the citadel of Isengard itself.
I find I can deal with Isengard, plus the Invasions on Edoras if I do this.
    ...This is my Island...

I think it's realistic, because in sieges, everly able man would take arms to defend their city.

In this case the AI should get Orc Looters or something else but no Uruk Hais/Pikes/Berserkers

    I dunno.

Early rush with my generals is what I always do.

Sometimes the best defense is the attack xD
