    Default Kingdom of Bohemia

To create more continuity between the Darkage and Early era, I have been considering removing the Latin Empire from the mod, and reusing the faction slot as the Kingdom of Bohemia. They are already serving as Great Moravia in the DA, so it would be very easy to make the conversion.

I think the Latin Empire can do fine as a rebel state, and Adding Bohemia would make it much more realistic to continue the Dark Age campaign into the Early era.

    Any opinions?

Hmm, sounds good. I'm not a historian on either of those, however. But I think it's a sound idea.

a lithuanian faction to creat some buffer between poland and russia would also be nice.... right now that's an awful lot of room in between
1180, an unprecedented period of peace and prosperity in East Asia, it's technology and wealth is the envy of the world. But soon conflict will engulf the entire region with great consequences and lasting effects for centuries to come, not just for this region, but the entire known world, when one man, one people, unites.....

I have already asked you about Bohemia before so I support this idea. But are you planning to make Bohemia as playable faction only in the early era?

Posting from my droid, so this will be short sorry.

If I go with Bohemia, the will be playable in all campaigns. They will be Great Moravia in the dark age.

I think this is a great idea. Bohemia was a pretty major player at points and also has a very interesting and unique history.

Do you have any plans for representing the Hussite rebellion?

I understand the urge to have Lithuania as a buffer state, but personally I would prefer Bohemia.

The reason I am leaning to Bohemina, is for the continuity from the Darkage. Remember the Great Moravia (Velka Morava) and the Latin Empire are actually using the same behind the scenes faction.

I always had plans to add Lithuania, and I already have permission to use Lithuania mod. This is a bigger job, and will have to come after Bohemia.

Switching to Bohemia is really a very easy job, it's just cosmetic really. The base work is alreay there.

I second with one very strong rebel state! Same if the Empire Latin was a bit morribund, it would be nice to have many difficulties to take the City.
Hard for the human player, as for the AI's Bulgaria or AI's Empire of Nicea.

    "Units probalbly? "
sure..., at least 5 units totally unics would be honnest.

I am definitely leaning toward converting the Latins into Bohemia. It's too hard for the ERE AI to retake anything on the European side of the Bosporus. Their role can probably be played by rebels.

Oddly enough, when I've played the high era with the ERE, I've been able to eradicate the Latin Kingdom within 3 turns. The fact that the ERE starts out with such strong (and expensive) units scattered across their former kingdom makes it easy for a player at least to reconquer it quickly. Mistra and Korinthos are taken in one turn, Constantinople in two, Thessolaniki and athens in 2, the only hitch was Hadrianopolous which took small amount longer due to it not being 1 turn march for any of my troops.

That said, I know the AI can't operate in that manner, at least as far as I know. It'd be interesting to see if the ERE could possibly Blitzkreig the Latins at all.

Anyway, those changes seem like a good idea. Moving the Angevins east may help France not get destroyed by the Germans as well. I've seen this happen a couple times now when playing eastern factions. The lands are essentially split between the Germans and Angevins.

    Feel free to add me.

no I luv the Latins they add so much more color to the Balkans and they are fun to fight against. I guess I probably wont win but still if they have to leave add lithuania and in the Renaissance and Late and maybe even High eras give the Peloponnese to France and if you do boot them from the high era give all of the latin empire to the franks so its not a big gray blob thats the only thing I hate about SS i seriously hate big gray blobs

If I do this, the Neapolitan Angevins will probably take over in the Peloponnese, etc...

It would still be historical, and make for some good Sicilian vs Angevin action in Greece.

I think it's a good idea. I'd like to see some Sicilian/Angevin attacks in the Balkans (more likely since the major faction would be gone).
