Smudgy battle map

I have had RS2 installed for about a month now and very recently, within the last 4 days, the battle map colours have become sort of smudgy
Its very difficult to describe and it doesnt really seem to show up in screenshots very well so i wont be able to post one...

Its like all the colours that make up the battle map have contours and you can see were the different colours mix.

Its not a huge problem but it is very annoying to look at so if anyone can understand just what the hell im talking about your help would be very much appreciated

Have you changed a setting, or your graphic driver?

No i have played M2TW and ETW over the last few days as well and it doesn't appear.
I have recently updated my ATI graphics drivers yes. Is there a way to prevent it?

Post a screen shot of what you are referring to.

Did this happen around the time that you updated the drivers? Quite often drivers can cause problems.

it doesnt really show up in screenshots because it is fairly faint. it did happen literally within a couple of days of updating my drivers.
Is there a way of going back to the previous driver version?

It's easy to go back to the previous driver version.

Although I'm currently using an Nvidia card I keep the old drivers in a folder that I have on my system. With Nvidia it's necessary to uninstall the drivers and then do a reboot before installing the drivers I want. I known when I was using ATI drivers four or five years ago it wasn't necessary to uninstall them first. However, as you are going back to a previous version then I'd sughgest uninstaling the ATI drivers first. This can be done through the control panel (add/remove programs).
