Save game files deleted?

Hi,

I have a problem with the save game files from Third Age (2.1).
My brother and I play the mod, but recently my brother deleted some save game files. (Elven and Rohan)
The problem is that my save game file (called "Eriador" with the Free People of Eriador) still exists, but when loaded, it simply loads another save game file (with Rohan) and a pretty nasty game.
(I mean: -4000 gold, cities trying to build building everywhere (in the queue), armies scathered all over the land, as if it's a save game file from the AI )

So I asked my brother if it's one of his save game files, it seems it wasn't (of course it wasn't, the save game file was rubbish).

Anyone knows what might have happened? It really sucks, it was my fav. save game file with The Free people of Eriador (Very Hard, Very Hard ofc) and Gandalf the Mauler ...

It obviously looks like your brother loaded one of the Rohan savegames, messed up the game and saved
under your Eriador savegame. Than he got scarred and accidentally deleted the other savegames.

That was my first thought too, yet it he didn't.
1. He had absolutely no reason to do so, he's not a little child and even if he did start a new game: 91 turns, keeping whole Rohan territories and expanding and then suddenly ruining it. Seems pretty stupid to me to get rid of my save game file. He could have just deleted it, opened it with notepad and changed it (corrupted sav..) Anything you like that doesn't take that long..
2. I tried to see anything that also appears on the Rohan save game file (Heroic Battles, marked with double swords on the map).
It also had a heroic battle next to Edoras BUT it was like 5 spots further .. So it can't have been one of the other sav files.
3. The latest change on the file was on 7:30PM. That was my save (he played later that day and the day after, I didn't). But if he changed it anyhow I could see that now, so the save itself must have been corrupted somehow?

I've also checked on Watchtowers & Roads (roads can't be deleted) now and there is no comparison what so ever to any other save game file.. (Also turned off fog of war)
