Just like existed with Victorian Britain. This is quite different to the way the USSR or modern China would use the power that comes with being a hegemon. The problem is when you're top dog no matter what you do you'll get criticised. The French and Germans constantly knock the United States yet ignore just how much money was sunk into their economies to kick start them after WW2, how America protected them from the Soviets and how America continues to plan missile shields to protect them from the likes of Iran. There is no gratitude when you're top dog, people ignore the good you do and insult you for the mistakes you make.

Both Russia and China are deeply committed to humanitarian missions worldwide. Russia for example has been contributing greatly to space exploration. You act like the US is some shining beacon of light out there when much of what we do is causing the problems. Vietnam, Iraq and Afghanistan. Iraq was a shining example of our ing stupidity. Lets invade a country, turn it upside down, and wait for the jihadists to roll in.
